The Macarena Basilica pays homage to Our Lady of Hope (Virgen de la Esperanza Macarena), and has a world-wide following, with devotees from all four corners of the world. Throughout the five spacious reception rooms, spread over three floors, visitors are taken on a poignant journey through the history of the Brotherhood, and Holy Week; its connections with the local neighbourhood, the city and all the places where Our Lady of Hope is worshipped; the Brotherhood’s current activities; and the deep-rooted popular support and worship of the main statues. Finish off the tour with a look at the litters, cloaks, robes, smocks, crowns and all the elements that go to make up the renowned Good Friday Dawn Procession.
